  • Participants only need to sign up once for the entire year, and may opt out at any time by sending an email to elehrer@oraacademy.org. 
  • Split-the-Pot!  drawing   takes place on the 1st of each month (or day following if on Shabbos or Yom Tov) regardless of number of tickets sold. Each month your ticket number and price will be determined by a randomly selected number from $18 to $72. Each number is only sold once per month. Maximum 54 tickets will be sold. Each month’s winner receives half of that month’s pot.  Sign up and have 12 chances to win.

    Official Ora Academy Raffle Rules

    PLEASE NOTE: Drawing will take place on the first of every month (or the next day if falls on Shabbos or Yom Tov) for 12 months beginning December 1, 2022, in the Ora office by an executive employee. All Drawings are Final. Ora Academy assumes no responsibility for prizes not claimed or collected within two weeks. Ticket orders received after each month’s drawing will be considered a charitable donation to Ora Academy. Ora Academy is mandated to send a 1099 for winnings of $600 or more. IMPORTANT HALACHIC NOTE: According to most poskim (authorities of Jewish law), even a single ticket inappropriately placed into (or left out of) a raffle or auction may render the entire drawing invalid. The only feasible way, therefore, to conduct a public raffle or auction is to rely on the fact that all donors participate with the understanding that they are relying on the good faith efforts of the sponsoring organization to do all they can to maintain the security and integrity of the event. Should an inappropriate ticket slip by (or a paid ticket be omitted), the donors have accepted this possibility and release the sponsoring charity and the prize winners of any claim. Please be assured that we have been, and will continue to be, as vigilant as possible to prevent this from happening. Nonetheless, we do need to ask for your understanding for anything that did, or in the future might, slip by.
